Photographer's Note
Ixora coccinea is a species of flowering plant in the Rubiaceae family. It is a common flowering shrub native to Southern India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. Although there are around 500 species in the genus Ixora, only a handful are commonly cultivated. I. coccinea is used in warm climates for hedges and screens, foundation plantings, massed in flowering beds, or grown as a specimen shrub or small tree.
In the WS and WS2 two more photos of this plant.

Hola Sergio
Marvellous warm cold colour contrasts between the spiky red flowers / blu grey sky, and superb that one is fully open to break up the repetitive pattern, Tfs!

Hello Sergio,
This is a stunning composition and possibly the most eye-catching photo of the day. The one fully blossoming flower in front of all these buds looks amazing. The wider view in WS2 is interesting for showing us what the whole plant looks like. It makes a very different impression. The main photo is very well composed and carefully taken.
Best regards,
Gert

Hello Sergio, this is my kind of close up; I like the emphasis on one detail of the flower.
Looking at this flower, one doesn't appreciate the size, it is only when we view the bush that we see how it is.
A beautiful well thought out composition.
Regards Jean.

Hola, Sergio!
Excelente toma de esta planta con colores fuertes que se ve muy bonita! Me gusta esta profundidad de campo más pequeña con el foco en la única flor abierta, que gana un bellísimo destaque en la imagen! Excelente trabajo!

Hello Sergio,
Your main photo and the first one in the WS are beautiful compositions wherein one and three flowers are open, respectively and the others are not yet fully grown.
In your note I read that this flower is used for a hedge. Very unusual I thought but your second picture in the WS makes it clear to me.
I love the vivid red colour of the flower and the stems.
Best regards, Paul

Sergio, esta planta ornamental se introduce en muchas regiones tropicales. Se utiliza para crear setos en los jardines. Sus flores son minúsculas, como lo demuestra este excelente primer plano muy neto. Hermosos colores

Hello Sergio,
I really like your close-ups of the flowering heads of this shrub.
They are beautiful studies, showing the exquisite forms of the individual flowers as they open whilst others, in a mixture of degrees of sharpness, are still in bud form, like projecting spearheads!
An excellent composition!
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

hello Sergio, nice view of this interesting red plant. I didn't know that it has so many uses. I think I have seen it somewhere in Poland but not so big to make hedges. Fantastic sharpness and colours. Eyecatching composition.
Kind regards MAlgo

Hello Sergio
Three beautiful pictures of these "Pauwenkers" as the English translation of the Dutch name is. I read in google that this is the national plant of Suriname that until 1975 was part of the kingdom of the Netherlands.
Your photos show the plant excellent from different sides.
Well done!
Have a nice day. Groet Rob

Hi Sergio
Looking at this one and the WS photos, this is most certainly the most dramatic and eye catching. Its funny to see the usual shot where its quite boring haha, but it gives us the understanding of the entire flower. fine result here, it makes a strong visual impact for sure. cheers

Hola Sergio,
beautiful presentation of this unique plant. The other two photos help us to better imagine the whole of it.
I like the main upload the most, with the focus on the flower and with the other flowers making a pattern but subtly blurred.
Fantastic final effect,

Marie-Louise
