Photographer's Note
3rd day of our trek in the cordillera de Vilcanota. This was an acclimatation day, we had a walk up to a pass in front of South face of the Ausangate. Altitude from this point of view was, I guess, over 4800 meters.
The Nevado Ausangate with its 6374 meters is the highest mountain of Vilcanota. It was also a sacred mountain ("Apu") for the Incas.
If you have some good eyes you can see the white mess tent of our camp just under the small laguna on the left.

Bonjour Nicolas
Georges
