Photographer's Note

I shot this photo at 1844 hours. I more or less based the exposure on the camera settings of a previous shot and experimented in this one.
This day Lima's atmosphere was really clean, with low concentration of dust, pollution or marine aerosol.
I am located on the top of a cliff in the district of Miraflores, just by the sea. The traffic passing on the road close to the ocean leaved the red and yellow trails. The city lights in the background are Callao, a part of the city near the port and some 20km away (the brilliant white light to the right is in a park nearby, however).
The two small hills just in the left border of the photo in the horizon is the San Lorenzo island, also seen here but from the north side —this is south.
The sky had really this colours but somewhat fainter. The bright star on the top is planet Venus.

Rotated 1°CW; adjusted levels, curves, saturation. Applied unsharp masking below the horizon and Gaussian blur above it (0.4). All in PS.
