This art gallery, the “Galaría de Arte de los Suspiros”, is representative of what you can find in Colonia, Uruguay...

A beautiful little town just one hour away from Buenos Aires’s frenzy, with ttypical colonial architecture both Spanish and Portuguese… since those two countries held the town successively. You can track the history of the city at the Spanish and Portuguese Museums (they are small, well organized, close to each other, and very much worth the visit).

Walking the stone streets of the Barrio Antigüo (‘old quarter’) is a real pleasure. You get the feeling of going back in time (even some old cars are kept ‘strategically’ parked in the front of some cafés and restaurants or artisans shops)…

Old buildings are very well kept and the ‘Barrio Antigüo’ was declared by the UN part of the world heritage in 1995.

You will find there the most friendly and helpful people too!

olá! esses lugares sempre me inspiram os mais incríveis pensamentos. Quanta coisa já deve ter acontecido ai dentro, né?!

Olá Carlos!Sim esta tua fotografia faz-me lembrar as casas de algumas zonas de Portugal tal como a calçada.É uma bonita fotografia que para ser completamente perfeita talvez um de saliência para sobressair mais.Coloquei no Ws a minha visão da tua foto,espero que gostes e se quizeres a comentes.

The light really brings out the textures of the cobblestones and the plaster. It makes me want to go inside the art gallery.

This looks an interesting place, Carlos, and your photograph captures its age well. Good composition, but I would have liked to have seen someone in it so that it doesn't look so much like a ghost town. Cheers . . . David

si bien colonial y bien lindo..... estoy casi seguro que he visto esta casa-edifico en un folleto de turismo en mi ultima visita a Argentina ( 2012 )
Me encanta el color de la pared y la arbolada que se viene por encima del techo
