Photographer's Note
Diamond Falls is in the Soufriere estate, a former plantation that was partially turned into a botanical garden. The wall of rock behind the falls has been stained orange because it lies near the base of a volcano, so the water contains a high concentration of sulfur and other minerals. 1/4 of a second was the slowest I could get the shutter speed without overexposing the water. If anyone has a helpful hint about getting slower shutter speeds during daylight, I would be very grateful.

Interesting colors in the falls, I like the slow shutter speed. Maybe for using slower shutter speeds in the daylight you could adjust the exposure compensation button +/-, use a polarizer or filter, or maybe change the ISO. Despite the trouble with overexposure, this shutter speed worked well and your photo came out nicely. If these don't work there's always photoshop!!
Take care
