This picture I made it to 3842m (Aiguille du Midi) and surprised.
The Aiguille du Midi (3,842 m) is a mountain in the Mont Blanc massif in the French Alps.

The cable car to the summit, the Téléphérique de l'Aiguille du Midi, was built in 1955 and held the title of the world's highest cable car for about two decades. It still holds the record as the highest vertical ascent cable car in the world, from 1035m to 3842m. It travels from Chamonix to the top of the Aiguille du Midi – an altitude gain of over 2,800 m – in 20 minutes.
The name "Aiguille du Midi" translates literally as "needle of midday". It is so called as the sun sits directly over the peak at noon, when viewed from Chamonix.

Very nice mountain's view . The alignment of tops of the moutains give abeautiful prospecy effect. I like too the harmony of the three colours of rocks, snow and sky.

I must get to France one day, I see so many beautiful photo's from this part of the world and this is no exception. The cable car would have been fabulous. Well composed to show the mountains dominating the photo, good sharpness and lovely tones.

Hi Adrian thank you for posting such a nice photograph. I've seen such peaks during my trip to the Himalayas but it is difficult to get a clear view due to persistent clouds.

You have nicely framed the photographs. The light direction is bringing out depth in your photograph.

You were lucky with this weather. Beautiful clear shot of this magnificant place. It is indeed breathtaking over there.
It was the right moment (light) to take this picture which gives the right shape of the mountains.

Ce que l'on voit très précisément sur cette belle photo montagne ce sont les Grandes Jorasses que termine la Dent du Géant (moitié droite. J'ai grand plaisir à voir ou revoir des photos de cette région où j'ai souvent marché.

This is a very nice picture of "haute montagne" as we say in french. We feel like a bird flying over the Alps !
Your composition is very good. Maybe there is a lack of sharpness, but you can be proud of this photo.
