Photographer's Note

From my U.K. trip last year, after going to Stonehenge very early in the morning, we headed for this beautiful cathedral. It is one thing to see and read about these things in books, but when you are standing there, next to the tombs of knights and holy men from six or seven hundred years ago, in a church built nearly 800 years's quite something different altogether. I especially liked all of the stained glass windows throughout the cathedral (the Cathedral of Saint Mary is the proper name) depicting kings, knights and religious men. This particular picture is a 16mb panorama that was sized down and compressed. I love the details, and the colors really pop in contrast to the overcast English sky.
