In the Cage, a photo from New York, Northeast

Photographer's Note

Taken from the Manhattan bridge, right where the old poors building are going to meet the chinatown area and then the financial district (in the BG). I wanted to enphasize the contrast between the two different realities and the cage is a simbolic plus, subject to different interpretation..

Hi Marco,
Excellent reportage shot, certainly full of contrasts. The one that strikes me most is how colorful the picture is despite its grim subject. Looks like people tend to brighten up their lives whatever the circumstances. The kids seem to spend pretty much time on the roofs there, too bad they can't find a friendlier place.

nice shot, the fence and the colorfull grafities are great! perhaps u should have choosen either to crop more the top of the buildings, or less... anyway, nice
