Photographer's Note
Another view of Opera House in Sydney, this time the main hall, I suppose. Ian posted similar one, I stood nearby :). But I decided not to cut the lower part, I admit it is a bit overexposed, but in this way you can better imagine the scale.
Memories form the meeting with Lisa, Dawn, Gus, Graham, Ian and Colin.

Hello Malgo,
Truly, we do not often see picture from inside this iconic building on TE. So this is most interesting. It is slightly over-exposed but one can see the lighting conditions were not ideal. I like the saturated colours and the graphism of the architecture.

Hi Malgo
plenty of exterior shots of this magnificent building but not many on the inside, so this is a fascinating image for us who have not ventured to Australian shores. A super shot that gives us an amazing impression of the height and atmosphere of this beautiful building. Bravo!
Wishing you a carefree weekend - Brian.

Cześć!
Ciekawa gra tych łukowoatych kształtów i kontrastów pomiedzy ciepłymi i zimnymi kolorami + przepalenia biela, które kapitalnie współgraja z resztą obrazu. Super!
Pozdrawiam, Les

Ciao Malgo
continuo ad assimilare nozioni e immagini di questa bellissima opera.
Questa č un'immagine molto rara e per questo preziosa, le architetture interne sono eccellenti e la tua foto ce le fa ammirare con delizia.
Splendida condivisione.

Malgo, this is a SPECTACULAR composition. More significant, it accomplishes a very elusive goal: to show a much-photographed scene in a new way! I -- and reading the other comments, most people -- have never seen the interior of this building. Your other great success here is to show an engineering detail while at the same time creating a very pleasant geometric composition!
To my eye, it may have been over-sharpened, or maybe too much contrast, but that is minor. It is a brilliant shot!
Best regards,
Russ

Musiałem pomniejszyć fotkę, by móc obejrzeć całość na jednym ekranie. W ten sposób ta fotografia prezentuje się jeszcze lepiej. Ciekawie wygląda ten niepozorny motyw ludzkich spraw, toczących się pod przytłaczającą geometrią żelbetowej konstrukcji.
Pozdrawiam serdecznie,
Jurek

Hi Malgo,
Those TE pictures that make me envious are such where I notice that I've been there and missed the opportunity to take such wonderful shot.
This is of course on of those. This peresents well the basic structure of those grand arches, and strong saturation differentiates building materials clearly and makes the result visually attractive.

Pozdrawiam
Piotr

Hi Malgo,
Again, a very original view of the Opera building.
Of course the lines create a strong graphical impression. I think you made the right choice with exposure, by letting the highlights blow a little, but thus preserving the details in the shadows.
Warm regards and have a nice weekend!

Hi Malgo,
Yes, I agree, there is something slightly strange about the light and the exposure here but that is a minor matter in comparison to the wonderful composition and strong vibrant colours - they certainly make up for any deficiencies in exposure.
The picture is very strong with fabulous lines and forms - a very graphic image indeed.
Wonderful!
Kind Regards,
John.

HI Malgo !!
I like this photo....almost impossible to do better with strong light outside and not enough inside...... but the colours and the shapes are so interesting.
You are a FAST photographer...... I remember you were gone for only a few minutes.
From our trip...... aprox. 2000 photos divided in 7 countries and in 11 categories but I only post one photo per week.
Enjoy the week end.

Super praca!!

Hello Malgorzata,
There are many entries here at TE from this modern architecture in Sydney but very seldom, inside views. Your entry gives now a perect idea how it looks like inside of the entrance hall.
TFS and have a nice weekend

Witaj Malgo
This must be the first picture ever that I have seen of the interior of the iconic Sidney opera house. Looks as great from inside than from outside I must say.
But there is something about the shot that is not quite right to my eye. I don' t know what it is, is it an over sharpening or over saturation, I am not sure? Might it be that the original was quite dark due to the less than favorable light condition and it was difficult to get much details back? I know this happens to me quite often to and thus far I haven't found the solution yet either.
have a great weekend
Daniel
PS: I have first seen the picture in the old TE format, but after clicking my comment away it suddently changed to the bigger format and I must say it does looks much better in the high resolution, so I suppose the loss in quality has to do with that.

Hi Malgo
overexposed - yes
but you know what, how often do we get to see such a photo from the INSIDE of the Opera House!!
In fact I don't think i ever have.
the inside structures look to be very large in size and make quite the impact.
I wonder what its made out of.
pretty cool seeing this.
enjoy your day

Hi Malgo,
A nice visual effect happening when looking at this marvelous architecture of the famous opera, the lines of the a-simetric walls and beams gave an askewed angel to the whole.
There is a lady plays the violin on side's, and I spotted three detection cameras on the premises.
Just a bit of excessive backlight, nevertheless, i think it's the first time I see the indoor's of the Opera edifice. That's what TE stands for, showing places.
Cheers,
Ike

Witaj Malgo,
I think I have never seen before the Opera House in Sidney from inside, as in this case in the foyer.
The architectural elements of this amazing structure are captured well, and we can to see its details with a great sharpness.
You have solved skilfully the difficult balance of lit areas and dark areas, a real challenge, with a good result in the exposure of the composition.
I like the high power of the colors, and the vital atmosphere provided by people.
A great work.
Best regards,
Josep

Hello, Malgo,
I see Opera House is very interesting inside and outside. Impressive design, just a one of the popular landmarks of Australia. Yes, it is overexposed but you couldn't bring a tripod everywhere for the best result. Well done for this condition.

Hello Malgorzata. What a great building. Of course, opera is not a normal building. Everything looks futuristic, - and yet it is already the world today. The true proportions will be apparent from the people. Strong colors, best composition.

Hello Malgo,
So many pictures of the Opera House have already been posted on TE and I didn't recognize the world famous building on this photo ... I think that the interior remains unknown for many people.
I don't mind the overexposed part here. I agree with the slogan of TE 'Learning about the world through photography' and here you show us a largely unknown view of the Opera House.
The interior looks as remarkable as the outside.
Excellent composition and attractive vivid colours.
Best regards, Paul
