Hello Jean,
It's very unusual to see that famous place like this, without any water. It's almost difficult to recognize it. It's an interesting photo just for this reason, showing a worker with a hardhat instead of tourists. But it says it was taken on November 17 this year. That is 9 days from now :-).
Kind regards,
Gert

Bonsoir Jean,

Howdy Jean,
Fine candid of the restoration, working on the natural rock area of the Trevi, and obviously a unique huge fountain. Would like to see the water flowing after completed.
Thanks for sharing,

Now, this is a different and humanistic view of this world famous fountain, gone is the romantic notion. Good lighting and sharp details. Well done, tfs.

Hello Jean - This is unusual and very instructive, one seldom thinks of the work that goes on to restore and protect the monuments we all flock to see.
Excellent!
Warm regards

Bonsoir Jean,
Très remarquable et une vue très inhabituel.
Et pourtant, cet endroit est encore reconnaissable.
En regardant l'ouvrier, cette fontaine doit être beaucoup plus grand que je m'y attendais.
Meilleures salutations, Paul

Hello Jean,
very fine picture from Rome showing the amazing Fontana in in unexpected conditions without water. I see that the workers have taken all the money out of the water before starting their job ...Very well done.TFS.

Hello Jean,
This is a most unusual photograph.
Even more unusual when you see it was taken next week!!
We rarely get an opportunity to see something as famous as the Trevi in such a state of repair! The details are sharp, with good physical textures and the focal figure strongly placed. The fence and interested crowd give a fine sense of depth.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Bonsoir Jean,
this scene is interesting and well presented in a vertical frame that ensures depth and is so comprehensive. The sharpness and clarity you achieved are impressive, you dealt with the lighting challenges very efficiently. The colours have a delightful warmth. Your point of view is original, there are some familiar elements that tell us where we are but this looks like a picture from backstage:) Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a good night,
Ourania

Hi Jean
ah...so you ran into the same problem that I did!
When i visited here a few months ago the Fountain was under repair as well!!!!
So frustrating right! But i guess it has to happen at some point.
good for you to take this shot, not many people get to see the fountain in this way - so perhaps you were lucky after all :)
excellent shot with the warm light and color tones.
see you around

Bonsoir Jean,
Scaffolds are everywhere, in most of the ancient monuments throughout Europe. For one thing it is good to see those are cared for. But as a tourists taking photos its a bit of a pity.
Nice showing the working man in progress, still can recognize elements of the wonderful Fontana.
Au revoir,
Ike
