Pszczyna - a city in southern Poland, in the Silesian Voivodeship, the seat of the Pszczyna Poviat authorities and the urban-rural Pszczyna commune. Often referred to as the Pearl of Upper Silesia.
It has a population of around 26,000.

Pszczyna Castle, is a classical-style palace in the city of Pszczyna (former German name: Pless), now in southwestern Poland. Constructed as a castle in 13th century or earlier, in a Gothic architectural style, it was rebuilt in a Renaissance style in the 17th century. During the course of the 18th and 19th centuries, the exterior of the castle was partially changed into a Baroque-Classical style. The Classicist modernization transformed the complex into what is usually described a palace.

In its history the castle was a residence of Silesian and Polish Piast nobles, then the German von Promnitz noble clan (mid-16th to mid-18th centuries) and later the German von Pless family. The castle became owned by the German state after the death of the last Prince of Pless, Hans Heinrich XV in 1936. After World War II, following postwar border changes that transferred the area to Poland, it was turned into a museum.

In 2009 it was voted as one of the "Seven Architectural Wonders of the Silesian Voivodeship" by the Silesian authorities and is often described as one of the most beautiful castle residences in Poland.

It is indeed a very impressive building, luckily saved from the destruction of the latest war. You took this photo from a good view where we can see all of it, and where it is nicely framed by the large lawn and the branches of trees. Quite a number of visitors make the view lively. The colours are very well saturated.

I immediately liked your photograph, for you have used a symmetrical composition to emphasise the symmetry of the design of this quite beautiful building. I like how the orange inserts draw attention to the windows and the patterning of the large stones.
It is obviously a very popular place which was useful for you, the figures helping to add scale to the palace.

The presenc eof the people is animating the scene. The space in fronty of the castle is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details of the architecture of the Pszczyna castle. The colors and the sharpness are very good. Have a nice day.

Kryzsztof, a group of visitors is standing in the yard of that immense palace. The Polish flag is placed at its top. I like the good framing and the subdued light. Neat image

piekny palac! Bardzo ladnie go pokazales tutaj.
Doskonala centralna symetria dobrze podkresla elegancje tej struktury.
Podobaja mi sie te czerwone motywy dekoracyjne na powierzchni palacu -wnosza jeszcze jedenkolor. Swietnie wybrany punkt widzenia, jak widac turystow nie brakuje.
