Photographer's Note

The City of Arts and Sciences is an architectural, cultural and entertainment complex in the city of Valencia (Spain).

The complex was designed by Santiago Calatrava and Félix Candela, together with the engineers responsible for the structural design of the roofs of the L'Oceanografic Alberto Domingo and Carlos Lázaro. It was inaugurated on June 9, 1998 with the opening of El Hemisférico. The last major component of the City is the Ágora, located between the bridge of l'Assut de l'Or and l'Oceanogràfic.

The City of Arts and Sciences is located at the end of the old Turia riverbed, a channel that became a garden in the 1980s, after the river was diverted by the great Valencia flood in 1957. In 2007, it was one of the winners of the 12 Treasures of Spain contest.

Hello Charo,
This is a really beautiful shot of the famous building complex by Calatrava. I really like the repeating shapes and the wonderful reflections in the calm water. The purple colours in the sky are gorgeous and make a great contrast with the warm glow of the lights.

Que placer verte de nuevo por estas paginas despues de tanto tiempo, no sabia que habias vuelto, pero al subir yo una foto he visto en la galeria proxima a la mia esta tuya.
Preciosa esta vista de La Ciudad de las Artes, ideal ese color rosado de final del dia, los reflejos son magnificos.
Punto de vista, nitidez, luminosidad, colorido y la composición elegida son excelentes.

This famous place is most intriguing photography. A superior outcome with beautiful reflection and golden illumination while there still was enough light that enable distinct view of the structure.

Hola Charo, Que vista preciosa da Ciudad de Calatrava. Maravillosa composicion, con perfections reflejos. Me gustan much los colores rosados. Excelente imagen.
