Photographer's Note
Probably my last posting from this set of Thailand shots. I liked the graphic effect of these rooves, seen from the high road around Phrae's old town wall.

I like this very much, Richard. Nicely thought out, the overhanhging palms are the icing on this splendid red cake. Lovely. Francis

The red slope catches light perfectly... The palm gives us a hint of the fertile surroundings. Very nice image.

Hi Richard
Looks like I may have influenced you with some of my earlier shots on Thai rooftops, & that's what TE is all about.
Good graphism, color, & sharpness. Well done!

a very different angle of shoot from most of the shots I have done or seen from the wat..Clever idea that works more than fine for me Richard! The inclusion of the leaves was necessary and you did! So, like voltaire used to say, all is perfect in the best world possible...;-)
have a nice week end

Nice detail Richard. I had no idea what is was from the thumbnail. Nice contrast with the banana leaf. Is this really the end of the series? Then you need to go back. :)

The abstract quality of this shot is very nice, Richard, and the whole thing makes a very satisfying picture. I see most people like the banana tree. I have to say that I would prefer it without. It seems to intrude from without the picture and to not truly belong. Also, I feel that it weakens the abstract pattern of the view, it being a drooping, rounded, falling shape against the high-flying, dynamic upsweep of the roofs.

Good pattern study, Richard - the curves and lines present in this view of the roofs yields a nice graphical compo. I like the variation of red and brownish tones, and even the light reflections were well included for a balanced total.

Hi Richard,
An interesting study of the lines and colours. I love the dark shadows that break the lines at different levels. It makes it visually interesting and beautiful. The banana leaves create that little discord and suspense to keep the attention on. Congratulations!!! Best wishes.

I like the inclusion of the greenery in the bottom right of the frame, good graphic elements and colours too :)

Hi Richard - I think you've saved one of the best for last. The colour, detail, the banana leaf, geometry all fantastic, I wish I could give more pts for this

Great shot! The lines and reflections in the roof really grab the eye. At first I was distracted by the plant leaves, but as I looked closer I realized that they share similar lines with the roof and this made the picture that much better.

Nice shot Richard;
I like the repeating lines gently curving down and out. The repeating pattern seemingly continuing on into the distance. The leaves of the plant break up the image nicely, and add a nice touch of nature to this architectural shot. Well done!

yup...definitely pretty with an artistic touch. the graphism is quite nice... sort of hypnotic.. only wish the leaves weren't part of the picture-actually, can't quite make up my mind as to whether or not i like it with the leaves :S
