Dusk over the loch, a photo from Highland, Scotland

Photographer's Note

I was in the process of printing some of my shots, and I decided to repost this one after getting a much superior scan. I hope I am not breaking the repost rules with this, as it is essentially the same picture, although I think this scan looks significantly different to the first one and, I feel, is much more faithful to the original photo.

I hope to be back with some original material after Christmas...

PS, Now I know where this was taken, having been back to the same spot recently. This loch is right next to the village of Glen Coe (still don't know its name though!)

Simply beautiful. Different because there are two boats (most TE pictures of this kind has one lonely one). The mountains beyond frame this picture well too.

Very nice photo. I like the mood. But IMHO the main subjects are the boats and the mountains. So i did a WS focus on boats and mountain.

I like both version: your original and this one. Nice scene and your shot brings it to life. The reflection of the boat "makes" this shot!

Wonderfull picture.It's the feeling of profound calmness and the envy of just sitting infront and meditate.As for the composition it renders the weather and the time of the day.Very nice picture should be a painting..
