Photographer's Note

Just beyond the horizon there is a 30m cliff and then the North Sea.
Trans Kirke (Church) as it stands today is a 12th century building with a 15th century tower. Excavation has shown three predecessors beneath the present building, all built from wood.
When the church was built, it was in the middle of the parish, far from the sea. But during the centuries the sea has eaten the land and now the coastline is close to the church.
