Photographer's Note
An old house awaits to be destroyed and brought back to life as a big shiny skyrise in the middle of Tokyo. Another example of destruction of Tokyo's past. Is it worth it? Shame.
PS: Auto contrast and a bit of work on the curves. Resized to 640 x 480.

This is very very nice. Did you use a tripod? I'm guessing not since you had to go for a wide open aperture. A tripod setup may have given you a bit more sharpness (allowing a smaller aperture and therefore greater DOF, and by increasing camera stability (the shutter speed is quite slow here) - especially in the calendar. Nevertheless, this is real artistry!

So "artistry" doesn't necessarilly mean beautiful... ;-)
Because, though I think that room is perfectly photographed, I can't find any feeling of attraction to it. I wouldn't hang it on my wall as I would do with "Downtown San Fran" or "Autumn Leaves in Tokyo".

Really nice moody shot.
Congrats!
I may have concidered cropping out the object to the very left, but I don't think it detracts from the shot any more than it adds.

Dramatic shot which evokes a mood -- dark inside, bright outside. Days gone by.

Nice light that is well captured.
However, I cannot feel anything but an empty atmosphere. Sad and sorrow.

This is the best photo in your collection thus far. It's haunting and tells more of a story than your other photos. The peeling of the wall being highlighted and the delicately lit calendar tells a story of time passed. The white square on the bottom right-side looks like a corner of a porcelain sink and the way it slightly glows gives a sense of coldness to the room. The calendar (if it is), is a symbol of time, the light of the window is also a symbol of time because it allows for the changing light of day to be shown. What I see in the overall mood of the photo is a time passing that perhaps is twisted with bitterness, or a time long to be forgotten, but not easily let go of.
More than just a photo! Very Nice!
