The Trolls's Earth, a photo from Nordhur-Mulasysla, Asturland

Photographer's Note

Typical creature of Scandinavian mythology, the troll is an alive being which lives in the mountains or the hillocks. If by misfortune is made surprise by the light, the troll is seen petrified.
Also, as often these giants venture far from the caves which they live, it's not rare that the traveller discovers some vestiges of these unhappy transformations.
Doubtless attracted by the water of this small pond, it's here a whole group of troll who it's let surprise by the arrival of the first light !

un paysage splendide et majestueux celui qui nous offre ta photo. Il donne une sensation d'immensité et de liberté, sa grande gamme de verts contraste très bien avec le gris des montagnes volcaniques et de ce qui est bleu du ciel. J'aime comment tu as recueilli les nuages qui entrent dans cette vallée par le col à gauche. Et ces trolls, aussi, bien sûr! he he.

Nice composition here. This is a very peaceful and soothing view. I love the rough rugged mountain with the soft green hills down below.

Side note on your shot: I've been reading a lot about the use of circular polarizers (I absolutely love mine), but in wide angle shots like yours its been pointed out to me that part of the sky becomes polarized while the other half does not. Can you see it in yours? But at the same time, your grass is very green and you've cut down on the reflection from the sun off the grass. So I guess it becomes a question about natural versus superior. What do you think?

J'aime bien le contexte de la note pour nous faire entrer dans ce paysage effectivement magique. le toru d'eau devant penche dans la verdure, les imposantes montagnes vert fonce et noir par derriere avec les nuages qui viennent magnifiquement s'accrocher dessus, c'est tres reussi. La definition de la photo est exceptionelle. Tres grand bravo.
