Photographer's Note
Rail travellers fretted and fumed with dense fog blanketing many areas in North India wreaking havoc even as biting cold wave pounding the region persisted. Fog in parts of North India caused delay of numerous trains coming in and going out of Delhi.
Trains coming from and leaving for Punjab and eastern parts of India were worst hit, some delayed by upto three hours. New Delhi railway station was more crowded than usual as thousands of passengers waited for long hours.

Great shot... the train just coming out of nowhere, and very cool that there is a guy on front of it too. I like that you can just make out people waiting around in the background.
Well done, thanks for sharing.

Hi Sunil,
Typical Delhi winter with all that fog but here the clear winner is the locomotives or maybe not ...perhaps those jungle of wires and rail tracks emerging out of nowhere. Well Done!
Best Wishes

Hi Sunil,
Quite thick weather indeed. I wonder how much of that is moisture and how much pollution. Nice shot of this shunter in a mace of tracks. I'd compose the scene less centrally though.

Hi Sunil,
This shot has a great atmosphere to it due to the fog. I like the ghostly figures on the tracks, and the criss crossing lines of the tracks and the lines above are great. Well seen.

Well, you know I love railways in the fog, missed this post last week. Good detail with workers visible in the background, though I'd have prefered the loco moving into the frame.

This is a very atmospheric photo and I like your note, giving a sort of "weather report" that can be useful for us, wanting to travel to India during the cool season...
Good idea and good POV, bravo,
Cath.
