This is the Hardknott Pass in the Lake District. This cyclist was amazing having pedaled all the way up! I had trouble getting up it too but I was in a car!

Yo Robin!

Great open landscape! I really like the colours from the light and shadow and think the composition is nice having the bike rider in the foreground and the tiny river running through the middle like a serpant in the background.

Excellent capture, Robin! Beautiful landscape! Nice lights on foreground contrasting to a well equalized background. Very good timing to catch the biker! Black frames are my favorites..

Lovely light and scenery. Your composition is nice and even with the two slopes on either side, and I love the winding road way down below. The cyclist adds good extra interest, and he must be very fit!

Hi Robin,
You are a great photographer, i must say. Your use of light and shadows to create the layers of light and depth in this photo is just professionalistic. And the positioning of the cyclist is just at the perfect place, the road down at the valley looks like the trails of his bike. I can only congratulate,

Great shot! The lighting in this is near perfect, with the foreground in sun and the background in shadow, with the small wedge of light from the sky. The image of the person struggling up the hill, with this huge and dramatic background, and the road winding through the valley, is wonderful!

Beautiful, dramatic shot. Awesome landscape. Perfect contrast between shadow and sun.
A matter of taste but I would prefer the same photo without this cyclist however I really appreciate his effort.

Not sure about the big black frame but great image with great light contrast and beautiful long perspective over the valley, compliments Robin.

This is an amazing shot. So beautiful. I like the feeling of symmetry with the mountains. The comp is excellent, as is the pov. The only thing I'm not sure about is the frame. But I do think the black brings out the colours further. Well done!

Hi Robin. Pretty good shot from a car I must say! The differences in light gives a strong effect and this peaceful landscape even has some great action from the cyclist. Wonderful depth. The frame is spot and of some reason very very nice here I think. Well done. Greetings Jens :-)

Beautiful picture Robin.
The valley looks magnificent with the stream running through.The light on the f/g makes this a special shot.And the cyclist is just the icing on the cake!

Hi Robin. Another jewel from you. The drama is there in terms of human endeavour and contrasts in light. The bright golden foreground with its interesting shapes strands out superbly against the darkened valley below. A little masterpiece. Regards. Klaudio.
