Hikers, a photo from Canterbury, South Island

Photographer's Note

Good evening,
here is another photo of many taken during the hike up to Mueller Hut in Mount Cook National Park. The big glacier slope on the left is part of massive Mount Sefton massif, Mount Cook is in the middle and my mates walking for a short time without backpacks to take a rest and enjoy this spectacular scenery form viewpoint.

Great shot! The scenary is stunning, with those incredible deep blues contrasting well with the white of the snow and clouds. I like the inclusion of the people hiking though too, because they really humanize it, and make it easy to imagine that we are there too. Well done!

A perfect picture with amazing clarity even in the distance. Sharpness and depth of fiels are great too.
Reflects in water are beautifully coloured.

Hi Viktor,

Wow, that looks really nice. I wouldn't mind going for a hike there! Looks very nice. Though the people are quite on the foreground, you still get a feel on how tiny we actually are in suc an area. Thanks for sharing!

A very beautiful image here, but I think it'd be much more powerful without the hikers in this particular shot. My other recommendation would be to slow the shutter speed a bit and tighten the aperture for a sharper image. Besides that this image is spectacular!

Hello Viktor,
The days I have spend arond Mt. Cook have been very cold and grey. The only time I have seen the top of Sefton and Cook was from a flight between Queenstown and Christchurch, when they were the only land abouve the cloud! A great shot mate, I know the area well. Nice composition with the darker blue in the upper sky and wispy cloud. The reflection is well shown. The colours provided by the hikers give the image some extra fell, a bit more variety. Superb sharpness and clarity.

Nice landscape and nice mirror effect. Colors are well saturated and I like the composition. It's maybe a bit dark in foreground but the result is very good.

I did not visit your gallery for a while and really should have... Especially these New-Zealand images that I just dream of... I have been there several time but only for business in Auckland and never had the time to visit this wonderful country.
This image is really wonderful and the composition with these beautiful reflections is great. Incredible view.

Love this brutal looking landscape and the clear reflexions you caught. Reminds me of home in springtime. You should really visit Iceland some time, got a LOT of photo opportunities.
