Photographer's Note
My first photo of a thunderbolt. 2 hours of pictures for 5 good pictures. I think it worth it. No other words.
Exposure 10 seconds (it's not on the list), f 2.8
-------
This was a storm, a big one and i think will qualify for Scav Hunt. :)

Very well captured! It must have been a very impressive storm.
The photo itself is well composed although it seems to have quite a few specks. Maybe a pass through NeatImage would help.

Wow! Two lightning pics on one TE page :).
You are right - it's really worth your efforts.

Never managed to get a good shot of lighting by myself and I spent quite a lot of film without any result :-( But using digital cameras it is at least a lot cheaper to take a lot of pictures to reach this goal. Nevertheless: very impressive shot and certainly worth the two hours of patience. Thanks for your information on exposure: very useful!

Very well done - a good exposure level for the lightning bolts, and all the tiny details there. I like how they framed themselves to the left side of your frame, too. The city scene below seems a little tilted to me, and as several people mentioned to me in my storm photos, it would be nice to see a little more of the area you are photographing with the lightning. I understand your happiness at acheiving one great photo from all the hours spent trying. Good work, and great patience!

Great shot, Dan. Well done. Maybe I'd like the background a little darker, but TFS.

Great capture, Dan. Moving a little bit to the right, it would even make it better.

Excellent capture of this great nature lightshow ! The picture shows us so well the scene that we think the building will be destroyed by this nature force.
