Photographer's Note
Walking through the narrow streets of Montmartre at the end of "blue hour" we came across a restaurant, the "Moulin de la galette"! The Mill of the Wafer (ex bolt-with-end) is mentioned for the first time in 1622 under the name of Moulin of the Palate. It returns in the inheritance of the Debray family in 1809 and made flour. Also transformed into guinguette in 1870, it makes double employment with close the Radet Mill. Debray thus decide to keep one mill: the choice was made on the ridge-with-end which recovers then about 1895 the name of Mill of Wafer. Very attended by the painters, he will know his hour of glory while being painted by Renoir, (the ball of the mill of wafer) but inspired also Toulouse-Lautrec and Picasso. With the Radet Mill, it is the last of the thirty mills which decorated formerly the Montmartre hillock. It is also the only one in perfect operating state. It does not visit interior and one can aperçevoir it only since the street Lepic at a certain distance, it is placed in height. Free visit: Located in a private joint ownership, the Mill of Wafer can be seen only since the street Lepic.
Hand held shot,contrast- neatimage-resize and frame the process in my PC.

Hi Panagiotis,
Very beautiful picture and light. The deep purple of the sky makes a great background!
At first, this picture looks like some countryside scene. I have visited this very unusual sight in Montmarte during the day. You've done a great job with this close up shot of the mill!
cheers,

Hi Panagiotis
Very good point of view of this windmill.
It's not very easy to catch it and your frame is well done.
I suggest just a WS for a litlle white balance adjustment.
Cheers.
