Photographer's Note

A night view from the 27th floor of the house we stayed in Paris!A block of 30 flats if i remember well!An uncommon view of the famous city of light.The land area of this arrondissement is 7.146 km² (2.759 sq. miles, or 1,766 acres).The 13th arrondissement is still growing in population, mainly because of an influx of Asian immigrants. At the last census in 1999, the population was 171,533. The 13th arrondissement is also rapidly growing in business activity, thanks to the new business district of Paris Rive Gauche. In 1999, the arrondissement contained 89,316 jobs, and it is believed to contain more today.
Paris's main Chinatown is located in the high rise buildings of this arrondissement. Other places of interest:
Les Olympiades, Super-Italie and various other towers among the tallest in Paris
Tang Frères and Paristore Asian supermarkets and grocery stores.

This is a marvelous and stunning nightime skyline shot! Outstanding work! Your photo would be an excellent example of the value of using a DSLR over a digicam and the value a photographer's best friend, the tripod. I took a some shots from the top of the Empire State Building in NYC last Summer and I had two strikes against me; they wouldn't allow tripods and I used a digicam (a good one, but still a digicam). This is a very impressive photograph indeed!

It's a good quality photo with clearly visible small details and well managed exposure. I also like diagonal line of the street going across the photo. Good sharpness as well.

I would prefer slightly different white balance. Not sure if it was done intentionally, or you just used auto white balance (which doesn't work well for night photos), but there is too much orange here. The photo could have been much more colorful with white balance set at around 2800-3000K.

Impressive night shot ! It's quiet futuristic...
It's so different than a view in a full day.
The sharpness is perfect, the exposure well managed.
I don't know if the orange tones are "good" or not but I like the result.
Really, that's a great job.

Hi Panagiotis,
This is really spectacular in light, but also in detail and sharpness. The towers on the right brings good depth but more important as a perfect focal point.
Strong composed picture and very good exposed in great light.

It certainly is a different view as there's no Eiffel Tower ;-)
But the orange light, the sharpness and the line of the road certainly makes up for it. I like the high horizon too.

Υπέροχη νυχτερινή λήψη. Τέλεια έκθεση και καλή γωνία λήψης.
Μ' αρέσει και ο ουρανός στο background που έχει πολύ καλή έκθεση. Συνηθως στις δικές παρόμοιες απόπειρες, αυτό ειναι το κομμάτι που "πονάει". Εσύ όμως εδώ τα πήγες περίφημα...
