My Danube, a photo from Pest, West

Photographer's Note

I want to remember my grandmother and her younger brother with this photo. I took it at the Danube in Vác.
They grew up and spent most of their time here at the river. Uncle Laci couldn't live without it, he went canoing nearly every day. I went with him for several times. And grandma wathed us and she was happy.
Now they're both gone. They both died this month...
The boat you can see here is their brother's.

I feel sorry to hear about your grandma and her brother but this picture is well dedicated for them. Just a little bit too dark on fg but it stills ok. A great picture for remember, thanks..Marci

Amazing sunset photo from the famous river.

great sunset! You captured it very well, nice use of the boat as a silhouette. I really like the sky, still with a lot of blue. Looks like it was just getting dark when you took the shot. Nice POV and sharpness, very well done and TFS.

wonderful scenery, wonderful place and wonderful capture to remember your grandmother and her brother. Late sunset sky, a day ending but with scenery and colours like that, impossible to forget. Hopefully like lives of your grandmother and her brother. Boat is excellently placed in capture and it creates great balance and accent to already marvelous scenery. Simply beautiful.

Szia Marci!

Gyönyörű emléket állítottál szeretteidnek. Mondanám én is, hogy "őszinte részvétem", de egy kívülálló úgysem tud osztozni a család fájdalmában, így ez a "részvét" (miben veszel részt?) ilyenkor nem több egy elpuffogtatott, üres frázisnál. Nagyon sajnálom fájdalmadat - talán így kevésbé hangzik elcsépelten.

A kép nem csak baromi jó, de azonnal felismerhető róla a készítője. Nem csak a fotóhoz gratulálok, hanem hogy 18 évesen már van saját, önálló stílusod - Te még nem tudod, hogy ebben a korban ez milyen baromi ritka. Csak így tovább!

This is a beautiful scenery and presented in a fine composition, in particular I notice how nicely light reflects off the water...

hát bizony nagyon szép képpel emlékezel meg Róluk. Bíztosan Nekik is tetszene. Sajnos a március nekem is sok szomorúságot hozott, de sajnos nem törölhetem ki a naptárból.. Graatulálok a gyönyörű képért és hajrá! Látom, hogy éppen Spanyolországban vagy és nem semmi az a bringás túra amit júliusra tervezel. Csak így tovább!
