- ...I've descended into meteorite craters, caves and canyons, explored the ruins of ancient civilizations, climbed up slopes of active volcanoes and 6,000 meter peaks, jumped off bridges and TV towers, drove Corvettes on the race course and Audis on the Autobahn, partied with a rugby team in a 747 miles above the Pacific Ocean, and operated a nuclear reactor. I drank beer in Dublin and Munich, ate snakes in Cambodia, and savored the home-made olive oils and wines of Italy. I've lived on food from shady street vendors on some days and indulged in 7-course seafood dinners on others. I've slept on benches, train stations, airports, forests, medieval castles, private islands, cars, buses, boats, trains, planes, hammocks, beach chairs, hotels, motels and resorts. I've seen the reindeer of Lapland, sea urchins in the warms seas of the Caribbean, and kangaroos of Australia. To this day I've been to over 50 countries on 6 continents.
...I want to travel more, climb up the ice sheets of Antarctica, gaze into the stone eyes of the Moai on Easter Island, run a marathon, venture into the hidden monasteries of Tibet, and snowboard out of a helicopter. I want to wake up one day, open my eyes, climb out of bed and do something totally crazy. I want what I can not have. I'd like to live life how others dream of, but don't have the determination, enthusiasm or balls for.
...Look at what lies ahead, grab life by its horns and ask yourself: "What is the point of living if you can't feel alive?"
