UPDATE: 10/02 2019
Still in the Army; this time stationed in an agency (The Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency- DPAA), where I travel the world doing forensic photography. Our mission is to provide the fullest possible accounting for the United States missing personnel to their families and the nation. I plan on slowly but surely posted more photos of the people and places I go to.
UPDATE: 06/05 2011
Still in the Army training Soldiers before they go off and document various missions, war zones, and military functions. I've been concentrating on Flash Photography (Portraits) lately: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.1240311457704.36902.1526825849#!/fotos4life.michael.s.oneal
In the Near Future I will be deployed again; thus capturing photos of a far or near-off place for Trek-Earth; until then- Keep Shooting!
UPDATE: 01/21 2011
In the Army swing of things now-a-days; still trying to be pro-active in my photography... my new thing is flash photography; still trying to find a way I can incorporate this obsession into TrekEarth...
UPDATE: 05/12 2010

UPDATE: 04/18 2010
Less than a month until Finishing Syracuse "Newhouse" program- Finishing a Photo/video interview mini-documentary on my Parent-in-Laws Journey here in the U.S.-
Thoughts: Photos in a soundslide are less powerful and less critiqued then on the stand-alone. I think mainly because the audio and the barrage of visual imagery to take in is more "a wash"(observance), then a single concentrated analysis of a still.
UPDATE: 01/28 2010
Back in photojournalism school; shot over a thousand photos in Ecuador; brought parents-in-law to live with me and my family in Syracuse.
UPDATE: 12/4 2009
By the end of the month I'll be in a small town in the middle of nowhere, where by biggest worrying will be getting bit by mosquitos :)
UPDATE: 9/4 2009
School has started---- overwhelmed,,,,,, COMPOSition 1 control your background 2 fill the frame 3 wait for moments But before this, white balance or just shoot RAW----
UPDATE: 7/23 2009
I've been home in the U.S. since Feb.'09; and now five months later I find myself still in the Army, yet about to attend Syracuse University's Photojournalist course for two semesters.
UPDATE: 9/11 2008
I'm in Afghanistan on deployment as a Combat Photographer right now; I will however keep trying to be an active participant in TE's wonderful and talented community.
Once again, thank you for stopping by
THOUGHT: I don't think there can be too many pictures of sunsets and sunrises, technically permissible of course; it's a powerful thing. I always seem to find something different about each one I view, whether it be climate or terrain
Update: One of my Professors in PhotoJournalism said that photos of sunsets are boring unless there is something in the foreground. - Member Since
