- Since 2002, I have been documenting ethnic diversity in Luang Namtha province in NW Laos. This province has the highest number of different ethnic groups in Laos, and is undergoing rapid changes that will affect the lifestyles of the people in the villages. It is my aim to photograph the original lifestyle and the change process, to build an archive that will be available to future generations.
Part of the requirements for this is cooperation from the people I photograph. I found that this is more forthcoming if I ensure that everyone I photograph receives a print back on my next visit. For more, see http://kees.zenfolio.com - Member Since
