Aloha from a one-time kamaaina from Hawaii now living in, huh?, New Jersey?!? What the...?!? Anyway, I'm a year into digital and I must say that my favorite part of digital photography is the ease to control post-processing work. If I overburned or under-dodged I have only myself to blame. No more worries about whether my prints from negatives comes out sharp or soft and/or bright or muddy (colors) from the lab. Yet, I still love taking slide photographs for its great saturation (Velvia, Elite Chrome, etc.) and its dynamic range of highlights. Of course, hands-down, digital has the upper hand. At least with digital I won't have to throw so many bad slides away. So my second favorite part about digital is the delete button, a lovely money-saving feature that makes taking digital pictures a joy! Keep the best, throw out the rest! Mahalo! - Mike Opinia
