Sometimes it's difficult to get the sense of a place when the photos are in grayscale, so I decided to post the original color one, and then attempt a second one, which I think is more eerie and abstract-looking, but it takes a bit of imagination to determine what the place actually is.

I went with the closeup photo for the TE post, as I think it's much more powerful. It's innocuous-looking, but becomes anything but when you read the information about it.

I think this one looks more authentic; not sure for some of the others because of the lighting, but I think this works!

Beautiful photo! I went a bit crazy with the post processing to really highlight the contrasts in this photo, and the amazing color of the stone. It's more "artsy" than the original, which looks more genuine, but I hope it's an enjoyable interpretation.
