Lower Silesia is one of the most interesting lands to see in Poland. Long ago it belonged to Poland, then to Czech, then Germany, and now it is within Poland, again. Beautiful post-volcanic hilly landscapes, old mines and military installations, hundreds (literally!) of castles and palaces and endless stories from World War II.
