Photographer's Note

This is a view of the Italian Alps at the end of the day just before driving into the Mont Blanc tunnel towards France. We had gone to Italy for the day only and I thought it was quite amazing to have such a change in landscape, architecture and culture just by crossing a border. Unfortunately I don't have more pictures of the landscape to show since I took most of them with my regular SLR.

I like the clouds caught on the mountain peak, and the small buildings captured in the nearer mountain side. The color is a bit dull. But it appears to be very harsh and cold.

Hi Catherine, Well illuminated image. I like the framing and Post processing done. But noticed some lining on clouds probably caused by "magic wand" or selection tool used. In any case this is still a beauty. thanks for sharing.
