Very nice image, Inna. The colourful temple (is it a temple?) against the almost B&W background is a great composition, and the overcast sky adds to its charm. Nice perspective. And a great result, even with the adverse weather, bravo!

Pretty point of view on Kyoto with this temple in foreground and these people who visit. Concerning the photograph, I tested a workshop to improve it.

Nice picture. These reds look good against the grey of the day. I only have some problems with the vertical lines (see WS please)

This is a brilliant photo. I love the view of Kyoto from high up - it is not a view I have seen before on TrekEarth, I think. I know I would have noticed it if it had been here.

The mountains in the distance are stunning, and the city is impressive.

The Temple gate is very impressive too. You found a nice angle to take it from, and also got the city and mountains into the frame.

I also notice a couple having their photo taken in front of the gate. That is a cute touch. ^_^

Great work!!

I look forward to seeing more from you in Japan, especially Kyoto where I hope to spend a year. ^_^

Inna-san kon nichi wa,
J'ai eu l'occasion de voir cet endroit magnifique par beau temps, ici le temps est couvert mais je vois que c'est tout aussi beau, la structure rouge du portail d'entree ressort bien par tous les temps. Le point de vue est bon pour montrer la ville au dela et avec les gens on peut evaluer la taille du monument, de toutes facons il y a toujours pleins de gens. Je vois que cette photo a motive les workshoppeurs de tous poils, j'en ai aussi fait un.

I just can't wait to go there!
Amazing view, the composition with the temple gate as center piece works great, slightly tilted but still looks great!
You have achieved some great DOV with the gradually fading colours back in the photo.
Light would in most cases be an issue, but the clouded weathis this day seems to have worked in your favour. It creates some great natural colours.
