The Fountain of the Muses is located at the entrance of the famous Tropicana cabaret, in the Havana neighborhood of Marianao, of which it serves as a symbol. Although its original name (the one given to it by its author) is La Danza de las Horas, it was renamed years later. It is a truly monumental work, in which eight dancers, completely naked, dance with grace and delicacy on the edge of a fountain. The author of this marvel in movement was the Italian sculptor Aldo Gamba. One of the models was his wife, who I let you guess. He completed the work in 1924, before returning to Italy, where he died in the days of World War II.
